Equestrian Portrait of Cornelis (1639–1680) and Michiel Pompe van Meerdervoort (1638–1653) with Their Tutor and Coachman
A large equestrian portrait by Aelbert Cuyp showing two young brothers of a prominent family riding to the hunt with their tutor and coachman. The grand landscape and golden light convey both family status and Cuyp's mastery of scenery.
