Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe

An ambitious early work by Claude Monet, inspired by Manet's painting of the same title, attempting a life-size scene of modern figures lunching in a forest clearing. It already shows Monet's fascination with sunlight filtering through leaves; today it survives only in fragments.
