Madonna of the Harpies
One of Andrea del Sarto's masterpieces, an altarpiece showing the Madonna and Child flanked by two saints in a balanced composition. Its name comes from the harpy-like figures carved on the pedestal, and it is admired for its stable pyramidal arrangement and warm tones.
