The Return of Judith to Bethulia
Curator’s note

The Return of Judith to Bethulia

An early small-scale work by the Renaissance master Sandro Botticelli. It portrays the Old Testament heroine Judith returning to Bethulia after slaying the general Holofernes, her wind-swept drapery and light step conveying Botticelli's elegant line and sense of movement even on a small panel.
