The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne
A masterpiece Leonardo da Vinci labored over in his later years. The Virgin, seated on Saint Anne's lap, reaches for the Christ child who plays with a lamb, the three figures bound in a flowing pyramid that, with its sfumato, marks the height of his art.
