Dance Hall in Arles
Curator’s note

Dance Hall in Arles

A work painted by the Post-Impressionist master Vincent van Gogh in Arles, in the south of France. A crowd fills the dance hall, rendered in flat planes of color and bold outlines that blend the influence of Japanese prints with vivid experimentation, conveying the energy of his Arles period.
